Meateaters was for a long time judged to be the foremost (and possibly the only) upholder for the militant American antiveganhardcore scene. The Band was said to be established in Corpus Christi, Texas, U.S. Their international success, the six-track cassette "Give me a Hamburger for Half the Price" (Eugen Records) circulated in the European hardcore area during the later 1980 decade there it caused some cheerfulness mainly because the idiotic texts. But everything was a forgery. In reality Meateaters consisted of an assembly of underachiever musicans from Linkoping who wasted their study grant in B Sound's studio the sports holiday 1984. Eventually, when the forgery was unmasked, hardcore experts admitted that Meateaters probably was the best hardcore band which never existed. Meateaters which still hope to enter the stage are:
